At Deer Girl, we have been building our reputation as a trusted Animal Breeder in Burton, Tx - a small town right outside of Brenham, TX - Home of Bluebell Ice Cream.

My name is Katelyn Lossen. My grandfather bought a beautiful farm with my grandmother in 1999 to follow in his father's footsteps with a love for animals. They ended up falling in love with Whitetail deer and started a breeding facility. They have been very successful and raised some prize deer. As a child, I would come to the Lazy Oaks Farm every other weekend. I began falling in-love and learning all of the in's and outs about breeding animals. Now I live on the farm full-time and decided to start a business of my own, becoming a 3rd generation animal breeder.  I've come to love exotic deer, cattle and of course miniature Donkeys. I also breed and raise beautiful Silkie Chickens and I have 2 wonderful protective Cattle Great Pyrenes dogs - Bert and Ernie.
